Tail Bridge in Action

Challenge: There is the inherent void created when a truck tailgate is opened, it creates a space between the truck bed and the tailgate, what we call tailgate gap, thereby allowing debris, rocks, gravel, topsoil and such to accumulate in this space. Making it very hard to clean that area before you can even close your tailgate.

Solution: When the Tail Bridge System is installed, the bridge portion of the product tracks down with the opening of the tailgate, thereby “bridging the gap” between the truck bed and tailgate, eliminating debris from accumulating in the tailgate gap, while also reducing potential damage to the tailgate and / or truck body from debris in this space.

HAULING SMALL PARTICLE MATTER

Unfortunately, due to the trough design nature of most tailgates, smaller matter material; sand, soil prep, pebbles, etc. may flow through the trough section between the bridge plate and tailgate.

When hauling smaller matter material as well as rocks & gravel, we highly recommend utilizing our BRIDGE GATE GUARD when doing so. This will prevent small particles from penetrating the trough areas on the tailgate and protect the top of your tailgate finish when loading rock & gravel.

Large material matter, wood chips, bark, rock, gravel, should not be a problem if your tailgate is in good working order.

If you do not use the BRIDGE GATE GUARD, we still highly suggest using some type of safeguard when hauling small matter material to eliminate flow-through and maintain bridge/hinge integrity.
